Dear Friends,

2015 has been an odd year for us.. this year was all about balancing life and work, home and travel – and the balancing act wasn’t simple, we’ll tell you that much! Some of the opportunities that arose this year we weren’t able to seize together.

While that certainly isn’t our long term goal, we made sacrifices and spent a lot of time apart with the shared goal of chasing down our dreams and creating a future in which we can travel together, still have a cozy little space somewhere to call home, and do work that inspires!

Thanks for joining us on our adventures, we can’t wait to see what 2016 has in store for Nomadic Newlyweds!

Top 10 awesome things that happened in 2015:

1. Visited the Eden Prairie Ice Castles in Minnesota…

 

2. Commemorated living in our first official space, our beloved loft… (Photo Credit)

 

3. Road-tripped Ireland with my (Brooke speaking) sister Blaire Flory and Shamrock Vacations…

 

4. A spur of the moment springtime photo-shoot that yielded some of our all time favorite images! (Photo Credit)

 

5. Became team-members and writers for the inspiring site Skimbaco.com!!!

 

6. Hiked the Camino de Santiago with my (B speaking again) ma & brother…

 

7. Grew immensely through an incredible opportunity as an intern and apprentice for photographer Alex Hinders (of Everlasting Love Photography)

 

8. Photographed Shanghai – with shoots ranging from a collaboration with dress designer Safia Chen to a few days of cultural emersion experiences with P&G staff.. even took a Chinese cooking class!

 

9. Saw a new side of Chicago with Hyatt Centric… (and received monogrammed pillowcases upon our arrival, which certainly makes the highlight reel!)

 

10. Caught a little California Sunshine with Vellabox, stylist Jessica Hall and Branding Expert Tasha Elkins…

& on an even more personal side in 2015…

• My (Brooke’s) baby sister finally tied the knot with the love of her life, Robert, just before Christmas at the Wiedemann Hill Mansion – it was the most timeless event which was fitting for my elegant Jessica!

• Our best friends Anna & Jesse announced they are bringing a little tiny human into the world, we can’t wait to meet her in 2 short months! (Photo Credit)

• Our beloved Carla also married the man of her dreams, Corey! We celebrated with a lively and unforgettable weekend in the stunning city of St. Augustine Florida! (Photo Credit)

A tiny peek into 2016:

• January: We’re kicking the new year off with a Couples Getaway to Riviera Maya with Karisma Resorts!
